Our shareholder
Royal Cosun owns all the shares in Royal Nedalco.

Royal Cosun is a co-operative that has approximately 11,000 members* who are arable farmers. Among other crops, they grow sugar beets that are processed at Suiker Unie’s sugar production plants. An average of 805,000 tons of crystal sugar is extracted each annual harvest.

Royal Cosun’s members supply their beets based on the number of shares they own in the co-operative. These shares cannot be freely traded on, for example, the stock exchange.

The members have a direct voice in the co-operative policy and strategy via elected representatives who are the members of the Members’ Council. The Members’ Council elects the members of the Board and the Supervisory Board.
* The co-operative is comprised of nearly 8,000 direct members (category A). More than 3,500 beet growers are members (category B) of two regional co-operatives. Both co-operatives are in turn members (category C) of Royal Cosun.
