Transfer of Nedalco grounds
On February 12 2010 the delivery of the Nedalco grounds to the government of Bergen op Zoom was effected.
Eight years ago, the government of Bergen op Zoom approached Nedalco to clear the grounds in Bergen op Zoom for the development of a new residential area called ‘Bergse Haven’. With the compensation received, Nedalco adjusted its strategy and executed the necessary investments to replace the capacity from Bergen op Zoom. Nedalco opened new factories in Sas van Gent (NL) and Manchester (UK) and purchased a location in Germany. Also investments are made to find a suitable office to house the 50 employees in management, staff and research & development in Bergen op Zoom.
