Pretreatment
Pretreatment is studied in-house at Nedalco on small scales. Equipment for testing small volumes (liter scale) of feedstocks at varying temperatures and chemical conditions is available. The main feedstocks analyzed so far have been wheat bran and corn fiber. Resulting hydrolysates can either be tested directly in fermentation trials or upon further enzymatic treatment.
